Simon Mayor & Hilary James
Thursday, 21st July
8:00pm
Most Holy Trinity Church
Simon Mayor is not only a world-renowned , virtuoso mandolinist but also an extremely accomplished fiddle player, guitarist, composer and humourist.
His partner, Hilary James is a very talented musician playing mandobass ( this large instrument is almost as big as she is! ) and guitar. She is also a superb, versatile singer whose lovely voice captures the essence and timbre of folk songs, the blues and standards.
When they perform a classical piece like the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba by Handel you can almost imagine that they are being backed by a full orchestra. This performance will be a remarkable, memorable musical experience.
